i do like twilight, but i find that the movie kind of ruined it. I thought the books were amazing, but then the movie came out and there were pshyco twilight fans and it just made me kinda lose interest. but i still love twilight and i cant wait til new moon comes out!

I do like Twilight, although I am not some huge fantic like alot of other girls I know are. I think of it this way-its a MOVIE. A really really good movie with GREAT actors but still.... just a movie. So yeah, I definatly like the movie for the reasons stated above, but I don't think I'll ever become some fantic. Yet Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are really hott:)

I love twilight! the whole book series is amazing... the way stephanie meyer portrays all of her characters is amazing. they all are so unique. and of course edward is just...shockingly amazing. hes like a god. but hes not reall... :'( haha, it is sort of disappointing though.
i dont really enjoy the movie that much, lol, i only watch the movie cuz of robert pattinson. dont get mad at me though if you dont like him, please. ohhh, i have a question for you now, are you on team EDWARD or team JACOB?

i love twilight i didn't become interested till i saw the movie. but after reading the books i realized that the movie was total garbage and am so hoping that new moon is a million times better. ive read the entire series like 7 times. i just love the relationship between Edward and Bella and how she would give up anything to be with Edward and he his devotion to her its so romantic!

my first reaction to that question is :ugh, I'm suck of twilight" but i think im just pissed because the movie sucked so bad, and all the insanity thats been made out of it is kind of making me tired of it. and i live in vancouver where its all being filmed so theres extra twilight craze here haha

but honestly when i read the books, i loved them!

you know why i like twilight? because it gives me hope, that there's more to this life than just every day the same thing over and over, it gives me hope to think that something real and amazing can actually happen, so i wont give up and not try. because right now, i want that, i need more than this to just keep going, its like theres more to life than we think.

eh i guess twilight is alright. Ive read the books and I like them, but the movie isn't very entertaining. I read the twilight saga books before this whole craze started and when i saw the movie i was very disappointed. But I'm happy New Moon will be an excellent movie :)

Nah, I'm not a fan. I respect that you do (I can tell by your username), but it's just not my thing, for a lot of reasons. One, I don't like like some of the messages it sends. Edward's portrayed as the perfect guy, but to me, he's too clingy and obsessive. He watches Bella sleep and breaks her car so she can't see Jacob (never mind the intentions - if some guy did that to you, you'd call the cops). Also, I'm just not a fan of her writing. I personally didn't find the character well-developed (too flat for my tastes), and the writing style just wasn't for me. Too much purple prose. And I'm not a fan of love that happens to quickly in stories either - I don't believe that one can fall in love with another based on appearance.

I HATE freakin Twilight. Like a couple years ago no one knew about it and I LOVED it. But know they have a shitty movie and every girl is like freaking out over it. People are wearing the shirts that have never even read the book. Ugly Rob is EVERYWHERE. None of the people in the movie have any talent. And now if you like Twilight at all people automaticly asume you're some annoying fan girl. This little craze is just annoying the hell out of me because half these girls are just following the crowd to fit in which is lame. Sorry, long rant. lol

i LOVE Twilight. I first read it in 2005 and i am extremely proud of that. I think it is an amazing story that so many teenagers can relate to. And it has a fantasy in it. It really shows love in a different perspective, and i appreciate that. I really disliked the movie and i hate how much of a franchise its become. But all the publicity aside, its a truly amazing story. I wish more people would give it a chance and try to understand its not some stupid vampire love story. It shows how much inner pain and struggles and loss and love can occur within one person.

kindof liked the film, is wasnt all that tho.... it was enjoyable i guess, but was a bit boring, nothing realy funny happened, nothing really cute happened, nothing realy sad happened, nothing really dramatic happened... there was some cute and some drama, but i wouldve liked more

I'm probably going to get bitched on for this but I absolutely hate Twilight. I think all the characters are one dimensional, and the few that are not are shoved to the side because they're "not important". I think the only reason girl's relate to Bella is because she's a Mary Sue, which is the self insertion of the author, clumsiness is not a flaw especially when it's made cute. There's no plot line, love does not count when they fall in "love" in the what, sixth chapter? It's not love, it's superficial lust. He's drop dead gorgeous, he can't read her mind. It promotes passivity towards abusive relationships such as Bella with Edward. He takes the engine from her car so she can't see someone he doesn't like and the writing is GOD AWFUL. She made so many grammar errors that could've been fixed by PROOF READING. Finally she is no where as good as J.K Rowling who will always be a God when it comes to writing and in three or four years when all the movies are out, Meyer will be just a fad of 2008/9.

See, I love twilight. But there's certain aspects of the fandom that I truly hate. Like, why can't you be a fan without being a crazed obsessed screaming teenage girl? Yeah, I'm obsessed but I'm not so crazy as to stalk Rob down the streets. I also hate how EVERYBODY is a 'fan' when a majority of people are just jumping on the bandwagon and not loving Twilight for the right reasons. I think it's overexposed, but regardless, it's always going to be my favourite book series.

lol, I think you're in for a really long response. I'm really passionate about the things I love, and Twilight is one of them.

A lot of people say Twilight was plagiarized, but honestly, how many other books out there do you think were copied off of twilight? I'm sure Stephenie Meyer wasn't the first to think of this plot line, but honestly, I don't believe she stole anything.

On the topic of Bella being 'flat'. Well, she sort of is- to someone who's not really reading between the lines. Bella grows so much more in New Moon. People say that she's so weak that she like dies because Edward left her, but honestly, her heart and soul were just ripped out of her and she doesn't know if she can ever recover. That's a situation most people would not be able to handle. In New Moon, Bella learns how to recover slowly and that although she needs Edward to be with her, she doesn't need him to live and she'll be fine- but it will always hurt.

In Eclipse, Bella gets even stronger even though she appears to become weaker with all the begging for sex and such. But Bella knows what she wants and she's determined to get it. She wants Edward and that's what she knows so she sticks with it. When she realizes she's fallen for Jacob too, she goes with her gut and lets him kiss her. People say that's two timing- but no one ever said you weren't allowed to love two people at the same time. Bella knew that she loved Edward more so she gave up her future with Jacob and went with Edward- a decision that would hurt most people very much.

Bella has to make so many hard decisions in the series. Leaving Jacob, Charlie, Renee and her human life behind to get what she wants. She has to hurt Jacob and Edward to finally make a decision but she knew it would all turn out for the best.

Although I detest Renesmee and Breaking Dawn, in that book, Bella is at her strongest, physically and mentally. She keeps the baby even though it may hurt her. She shows true motherly instincts through out the book and she doesn't care how it's going to affect her. Renesmee was her child no matter what. Bella did what she had to do because she had a gut feeling that once again, it would all work out. And it did.

During the Volturi fight, Bella finally starts believing in herself truly and she ends up winning. She saved her family and friends and once again, got what she wanted.

In other words, Bella isn't static and unchanging. She's dynamic. She has two sides to her and they both grow and become stronger as the series progresses.

Bella isn't anti-feminist. She's strong and capable of doing anything.

On the topic of Edward being controlling, no he's not. He's a fricken VAMPIRE and it's a FICTIONAL NOVEL. Yes, if a guy takes out your car's motor and watches you sleep, yes it's creepy and call the cops, but Edward is not controlling. He's the perfect gentleman. Yes, at the beginning of Eclipse he starts off as a total masochist but he proves not to be when he finally allows Bella and Jacob to see each other- he did it for Bella. He even let Bella kiss Jacob. He would never ever force Bella to stay with him. He let her make a choice. Somewhere in the series he said "I'm here as long as she wants me here" or something like that. How is that controlling? He's in love for the first time in 108 years. The girl he wants to be with is a HUMAN and he's risking everything being with her, but he stays because it's what she wants. Chivalry isn't dead.

Okay so, maybe the series wasn't well written, but there's no denying these characters don't have amazing personalities and plot lines. Who doesn't love Alice? or Emmett?

The movies can just die... except Taylor Lautner. He was like the only right choice in the casting. Kristen Stewart was all depressed and stuff and Rob looked drunk half the time.

I absolutly adore the entire series. but i dispise the movies and all of the publicity it gets. i hate liking the same thing everyone else does, but i really cant not like the books. they are such a good story. and i dont usually read things like that, so it has to be really good to get me to like it. the movies and actors and stuff changes my perspective when im reading and i hate that. it messes me up.

I like it! It's a cute love story that's well written. And I really enjoyed the movies too. I'm not an obsessed fan, but I do think the books are great. I will never wear a shirt that says twilight on it though. That's going a little too far...

i liked it wayyyy before the movie came out, like as a book and i thought it was OK i NEVER obsessed over it like all these crazy fan girls who are like in love with robert pattinson who in all reality looks like a bum when he doesnt have his movie make up on
i really dont mind twilight all that much i just HATE the fans and how everything has twilight blasted over it seriously everywhere you turn its either kristen stewart[who really cannot act] or robert pattinson [who is completely unattractive] its a little sickening

and also bellas character is portrayed as weak and edwards is portrayed as controlling its overall twisted from the original book that i found and mildly enjoyed a few years ago

overall it WAS ok, but now its just become a nuisance
and most people that read the books dont really understand the symbolism anyway, they just like the thought of romance mixed with mythological creatures

I like Twilight because I read all of the books before the movie came out. I really enjoyed reading the saga, even though I've never been a fan of reading stuff that are supernatural and unreal. I'm more of the realistic fiction type lol.

However, Sthephanie Meyer did an incredible job. The plot is simply amazing. <3

i dont like it. in my opinion, vampires dont sparkle in the sunlight they explode into a bloody mess and they suck human blood and are ugly things that pretend to date humans for their blood and dont actually fall in love with them.

yeah i love the books so much. i know that they are really badly written and the movies suck but i LOVE the books and the movies anyways. but i LOVE robert pattinson and i like taylor as well. i met both rob and taylor and they are super sweet guys and they are GORGEOUS
i have a picture on here with them if you want to check it out. its a terrible picture of me but thats not the point lol. but anyways yeah! i love twilight and yeah its embarrassing but i dont really care because if people can't deal with me liking it, thats their problem lol

The book was really good. I read it before it became popular. Then here comes the movie. Then all the popular girls like it and stuff(mainly cause of the movie and Robert Pattinson etc.). I have read all the books but it's become WAY too overrated.

hate it its not written well at all, its plagarized, edward is controlling almost to the point of abuse and bella is to weak and stupid to do anything about it. Thats really not a good example for all the teen girls who read the series now is it?
