Sometimes, it can seem like you're the only one who hasn't had sex (though that really isn't the case, of course). Having sex to get it over with may make someone feel less different or that they don't have to worry about it all the time, but of all the reasons someone might want to have sex, that's one that you should really think about twice.

Having sex can bring about very powerful feelings and has many potential implications, such as getting a sexually transmitted infection or becoming pregnant. Having sex with a friend could lead to one of you developing deeper feeling than just friendship, which can lead to emotional hurt. It certainly is likely to affect your relationship with your friend (and maybe with your other male friends).

When it comes to sex, there are two very important things to remember: one, that you are ultimately the person in charge of your own happiness and your own body; and two, you have a lot of time to wait until you're totally sure about it. If you decide to put off sex, it's okay, no matter what anyone else says or does.
