Help! I feel like an idiot in high school, and I'm not sure if i can get into a GOOD college!?

i'm a freshman, and my mom rides me every single night all night about my grades. I feel sooo stupid and inferior to my older sister. she's like the perfect student she's in like 10 clubs, all varsity sports since freshman year, and she has perfect test scores and like a 4.3 GPA and is in all honors classes. I'm in 2 honors classes and i have all B's with 2 C's. I still feel like i try pretty hard though, I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm wondering if let's say i have a 3.2-3.3. GPA will i still have a chance of getting into a GOOD liberal arts college when i start applying to colleges!?

You'll get into college with B's and C's no doubt, but A's and B's are always something to work for. Make sure you study well- don't just memorize, make sure you know the information. I didn't know how to really study until my senior year when I took an AP US History course. Break things up into small chunks along the way to review...and by test time you'll be golden. You shouldn't feel inferior to your older sister- you guys are two different people and aren't going to be the same in everything. As long as you try your best, you'll be fine and you'll have no problem getting into a good school. Start looking into where you want to go now! :D

not really really good... but some of the middle one's probably.. it would help alot if you got rid of the c's cuz colleges dont' like that... but instead of joining like a million clubs just do 1- choose something you love. if your serious about your studies and have an activity or two, colleges usually like taht

Yes, that will get you into a good liberal arts college, however, from what you're describing, it seems like your grades could be lower from the stress of living up to your older sister. That stress might be holding you back from doing your true best. I think maybe you should talk to your mom and your sister(maybe your sister first) about how you're constantly compared to your sister. You shouldn't have to be compared to her, everyone is different on an intellect level and learning process.
