Lots of things, including breast growth, PMS, and even pregnancy, can cause breast soreness. Breast soreness is individual and can differ from girl to girl, just as breast or nipple size can be different. (And, yes, it is perfectly normal to have large nipples.)

Try not to worry about breast pain too much. Diseases like breast cancer are very rare in teens. Still, it’s a good idea to talk to your doctor so he or she can help you figure out what might be going on, whether it’s temporary discomfort from breast growth or monthly pain around your period. That way you’ll know how to treat the pain (and not worry!).
