Just a general Q. Who all thinks his/her parents are overbearing?

My mother wants to plan everything for me. She hardly gives me any freedom even though she knows I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, or have sex. I get all A's in honors classes. I just don't know what else I can do to prove to her that I am responsible enough to handle my own freaking life!

well, my parents are strict.

i can't do a lot of things, but i know they're being protective and everything, and i understand that. but some things are kindaaa not fair, like not being able to date until after college, not being able to wear certain things to school, nail polish, etc.

i mean, how am i gonna handle when i'm older kind of thing? i'm gonna be put out there with minimal experience, but i know they don't want me to get hurt. same with your mom. maybe you should have a talk with her about it.
