What band did you love, but now became famous and it angers you to no extint? RAWR!!! >:O

i loved soooo many bands. But now their becoming famouse and it just SUCKS. Completly. Like gurls will go around wearing the bands tshirt when the only know ONE SONG?! I'll give some examples after. (nevershoutnever, underoath, Bullet for my valentine, the secret handshake, Forever the sickest kids, august burns red, Escape the Fate.) just stuff like tat :)))

I used to really like the band owl city, but since their new song fireflies came out people have been going crazy over it and now it's kind of overrated. It reAlly bugs me when something like that happens because I feel like someone's "stealing" the band from me, if you know what I mean. Also the band MGMT. Ever since they have become super popular, their music is less fun to listen to.

i know! its just soo dumb, and all these bands that i used to LOVE because their music meant something, but their newest CD's have been cheesy, fake, and MAINSTREAM!

I LOVED Twilight. I loved telling people about it and getting them into it. I loved when people looked at me funny for calling myself mrs Cullen. I loved when people had no clue what I was talking about when I said real men spakle. But since it's gotten so big it's just annoying as hell! Like, these girls haven't even read the book. All they see is gag inducing rob. The movie sucked and now I just hate the books and everything. It's really sad :(

oh my god, i totally know what you mean about nevershoutnever. i used to tell people about them all the time and whenever i say their name now, they know one song (trouble) and they all acted like they found them and i'm like 'no you didn't! you only know one song! you suck!' hahaha :P

also, i loved paramore in 2005 when they came out with their first album and nobody knew them, but then in 2008 they came out with riot and then they became mainstream. and, now, their newest album just sucks. the only songs i like are the acoustic ones and you have to buy the entire album just to get those two acoustic songs and it's just not worth it :/

I really liked Fall Out Boy waay before sugar we're going down came out, and even when they started having singles they were still good. But as soon as Thnks Fr Th Mmrs and This ain't a scene came out they're music got crappy and their fan base became huge and they just aren't the same! i don't like them or their music anymore!

hoooly i was into them like for 2 years and then that good girls go bad song dropped and now if i say i like cobra starship, its like "oh, you're just like everyone else"

Haha. I didn't realize that you were only talking about bands before. lol sorry. But I LOVE Underoath and now they are starting to get bigger and I'm afraid they are going to sell out :(

okay, so i have only been listening to them for a little over a year, but still....

i'm happy for the band, but its a negative thing for some of the older fans.
they are really nice guys, but still.

i didnt really start to get into all the "underground" bands until september of 2008, and i dress more on the preppy side, so people don't really know i listen to them unless i talk about it.

but i won't wear a band t-shirt unless i really listen to them a lot.

ha, sorry if i'm one of the girls your talking about.

The Mars Volta.. music of my childhood.. Now their shows are filled with hipsters..
Animal Collective. I think if they'd never recorded Peacebone and My Girls, people would still look past them.
The Avett Brothers.. Got away with playing out of tune for 8 years, and now they're on a major label..
I still love all of them though.

Yeah I totally agree, at least take the time to learn a lil about them.And then they are over the band once the craze is over. smh.
