How do I stop biting my nails??

I've always bitten my nails. I think I started when i was little and saw my older sister doing it all the time. A couple months ago I thought I had broken the habit. I hadn't bitten my nails in 2 months. I was free, right? Wrong. I'm biting them again. I think because of the stress of starting school. Before, when I stopped, I had been painting my nails almost every day.
What else should I do?
