Weird Situation. Help!

Ok so this is whats going on. I secretly like this guy that one of my close friends likes. I asked her what she wouldnt mind me doing if he asked me to our dance this year. She said she doesnt mind, and I should just go for it because its mean to turn people down. But I really dont want her to be hurt in the end if he likes me. Right now I tell people I don't like him. Shes happy because nobody seems to like him except her (from our clique). And i'm really worried because he wont tell anyone who he likes, and he says the persons probably from our group. [Hinting] And he treats me differently than all the other girls, so its possible that its me. In a way, I really want it to be, but in a way I just dont! I really like him, I cant stop... I told everyone I stopped so I wouldnt look obsessed, but I still like this guy!

What do you guys think is the best choice?
These are the options I have...
1 Tell your friend the truth and just say yes if he asks.
2 Say yes without any consultance, and blame it on the fact you just wanted to be nice to the guy.
3 Turn him down and explain your friend likes him and its unloyal.
4 Try to get your friend liking somebody else so you dont have to worry about this drama, and just keep your secret private until something happens.
5 Say Maybe, ask your friend for her final descision and if she says Yes then Accept, if she says No then Decline.
6 Simply Go for it.

I have a christmas dance coming up and it seems like everyone has someone to go with but me.

Okay so the 8th grader formal end of school dance is in spring for just 8th graders. Me & my friends might just go together, but i really wanna go with a guy. The problem is i can;t see me going with ANY of the guys at school. Most of the cute nice ones i already liked b4 & they liked me back but we didnt date, that always happens to me. & so those cute guys are prob gonna have dates cuz they have girlfriends now. My best guy friend dobrica happens to be the hottest guy in school and we liked eachother at a point, but he's going with some1. I just can't see me going with any1 in spring and you might say thats not for a while you may have a boyfriend but unless some magical new boy comes, I highly doubt I'll have a boyfriend or crush by then. Any advice????

Should i go to prom?

well im from uk so i get my one and only prom in june next year. i'll be sixteen, but im overwewight and i dont feel like i could feel pretty in a nice dress. i have lost two stone but i don't think i can loose enough by then to feel pretty. i have tried a dress on but i just felt soo fat! also all my friends are getting into arguments over what limo to go in and it's obvious they odnt wanna go in one with me. so i have said i am not going to prom because of all these reeasons but im not sure if ill regret it :S waht do you think?
